If someone said IвЂ™d be a pastor when I was younger, IвЂ™d have said they were crazy.вЂќДЇor Jennifer, there remains the balancing act of maintaining herself while friends from her вЂњpreviousвЂќ life wonder how she could have become a pastorвЂ™s wife, as she works to uphold her pastorвЂ™s wife duties - while not looking and acting like June Cleaver. In some ways neither of us thought weвЂ™d be doing this when we were younger. вЂњThe goal was to give an insiderвЂ™s view of what it is to be a pastorвЂ™s wife. вЂњWhat we wanted the book to be is a picture of what it is to be a pastorвЂ™s wife,вЂќ Dave said. So many other books by preacherвЂ™s wives comes across as вЂpoor me, poor me.вЂ™ I wanted mine to be positive.вЂќДave admitted that his calling came later in life as well. вЂњThe Lord took me on this wild ride to become this relatable person to use me to help other people find God. вЂњPeople said вЂyou should write a book as a hairstylist/preacherвЂ™s wife,вЂ™вЂќ Jennifer said.
